Context
A new value added service developed for MVNOs/MVNAs, aimed to increase Customer Loyalty Value (CLV). This service is an international mobile top-up solution, which enables MVNO customers the capability to transfer value from a prepay or postpay account in the UK, and apply a top up to a prepay phone in another country, simply by SMS.
Business Objectives & Challenges
The overall goal was to design and implement the solution in a timely manner, that provided a scalable structure and processes to extend it to future partners; and at the same time was efficient and flexible to fit with internal and external processes and drivers.
A key challenge was to get buy-in from internal stakeholders, due to the business model mainly being based on customer stickness and CLV.
Approach & Solution
Altran’s solution encompassed all stages – from requirements gathering to technical implementation:
- Requirements gathering through meetings and workshops across all stakeholders, from Business, Legal, Financial, and Technical; complemented by addressing requirements and liaising with internal subject matter experts.
- Design and Development of a comprehensive solution, flexible to accommodate new partners (MVNOs/MVNAs) in a timely manner.
- Implementation of accompanying processes, tools and guidelines.

- Delivered high level design and specifications.
- Managed complete project delivery. This included end to end testing, Live network configurations, business process development, and handover to service operations.
