Context
- Integration and migration of complete IN and Prepay platforms from existing network to a new NGN solution without interrupting or degrading existing services
- The integration and migration from legacy to new system is to be achieved in a phased approach
Business Objectives & Challenges
- To ensure that the entire solution is migrated from legacy systems without any service impact for end users, the IN / Prepay solution needs complete testing and service verification in lab and live network environments
- The design needs to reflect the architecture of the entire live network
- All IT, UMTS/GPRS/GSM and Billing services to be validated in representative conditions

Altran’s solution covered all stages from high-level approach through to detailed planning and design of lab and live network elements:
- High-Level Design: Altran covered the high level design, including required live and lab nodes, test tools, and other elements, bill of materials, integration approach
- Detailed Design: Altran’s scope covered design of two environments at detailed level, including IP design for each network element
- Expertise: Altran provided expertise in and in-depth experience with technology and environment of the client organisation, a blue-chip network vendor, and their customer, a major mobile operator
