TEM - IN/Prepay Integration & Testing

Solution provides technical expertise and project management – with a combination of work package and T&M engagement

 

 

Context

  • Integration and migration of complete IN and Prepay platforms from existing customer core network to new solution – including integration of a new NMS platform
  • The integration and migration from legacy to new system is to be achieved in a phased approach

Business Objectives & Challenges

  • The entire solution needs to be migrated from legacy systems without any impact on service
  • The IN / Prepay NMS solution needs complete testing and service verification in lab and live network environments
  • NMS integration, testing and migration have to be planned, implemented and executed for each project phase, covering all internal and external interfaces

Approach & Solution

  • Integration: The IN/Prepay platform needs to be integrated into lab and live environments and interface with existing and new systems
  • Testing: Test cases and scripts for IN and Prepay need to be written, covering NMS, Fault Management, Configuration Management, Administration Management, Performance Management, Security
  • Coverage: Test cases need to cover 100% of requirements, and consider each network entity
  • Execution: Testing needs to be executed in a simulated lab environment as well as in integration and live environments

Results & Added Value

  • Delivered integration plan and design specifications and achieved lab readiness and full integration of NMS platforms, IN and Prepay platforms in all test environments
  • Completed development and documentation of Test Case definitions and Test Specifications, meeting aggressive targets and overall programme milestones
  • Achieved 100% test coverage on requirements of the solution
  • Covered all parts and phases of the solution in the Integration and Migration cycle
  • Executed test cases in lab environment
