Altran UK is proud to announce that it has been awarded Assessment Body accreditation. This new category of independent assessment for the European rail industry is required and defined in the EU’s regulation 402/2013 on the “common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment” (CSM) and complies with the standard ISO/IEC 17020. Altran UK is part of the first group of companies in the UK to be accredited under this scheme, established by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
This new award represents not only a natural extension of Altran UK’s existing portfolio of assessment services (including Notified and Designated Body status), but ideally places the company to provide a complete, ‘one-stop’ rail signalling assessment service to its clients.
Mike Simms, Chief Executive Officer of Altran UK, said: "Today’s news is a testament to our excellent record in safety-critical systems support and our commitment to exceptional service standards; I congratulate our highly skilled team of rail and safety specialists on their achievement.”
